Virus Found In Lake Michigan Yellow Perch

June 17, 2008 -- A deadly fish virus has been found in yellow perch in Lake Michigan near Milwaukee.

The finding comes a week after a slew of round gobies found dead in South Milwaukee tested positive for VHS. Read the full story to get the details.

"Randy Schumacher is the regional fisheries supervisor in Milwaukee for the Department of Natural Resources. He said it's no surprise to find VHS in the yellow perch since it has been moving through the Great Lakes."
