Mandatory Boat Checks Back This Summer to Stop Invaders Like Zebra Mussels

June 17, 2010 -- Authorities will be conducting mandatory checks of boats, trailers and gear headed to and from Washington this summer in an effort to combat the spread of aquatic invasive species. Read the full story to get the details.

"The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife’s (WDFW) annual check stations and patrol program has already started up in several parts of the state and will continue through the boating season."
