Wisconsin DNR Warns About How Some Holiday Decorations can Spread Invasive Species

December 17, 2009 -- Merry Christmas, but watch out for a set of invasive species that may come in the form of holiday decorations.

That’s the word from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, which warns that some plants, including colorful berries, dried flowers and seed heads used for wreaths and dried arrangements, are actually invasive weeds that can spread if not handled and disposed of carefully.
